My Favorite Educational Wood Toys

Can you believe the holidays are here! That means it is time to start thinking about Christmas gifts which isn't always the easiest thing. This year I am focusing on finding quality wood toys that are fun and educational. Below are some of my favorite picks.

1. Alphabet Blocks Learning Puzzle

A great gift that helps children learn their alphabet and practice spelling words. My son loves his alphabet puzzle! It is recommended for 3 years and older but my son start playing with it when he was two.

2. Discovery Space Center Kid's Wooden Playscape Set

Another great toy that encourages creative play. It is also recommended for children 3 years or older.

3. Wooden Marble Run Construction System

Looking for a gift for the older kids? Check out this amazing marble run construction system. It is one of the top toys to teach kids code and STEM principles according to the Wall Street Journal. Recommended age is 4 to 15 years old.

4. Wooden Wonders Balancing Block Barnyard Playset

Isn't this wooden balancing block playset adorable?! This playset is on my list for our youngest son. This set encourages critical thinking problem solving as your child tries to see how high they can stack the farm animals. It is recommended for ages 3 years and older.

5. Wooden Tetris Puzzle

Another great interactive educational toy for all ages - kids and adults.

6. Rainbow Stacker Wooden Ring

This Rainbow Stacker is a wood version of our classic childhood favorite stacking ring. It is great for eye-hand coordination, color recognition, and sequence recognition. It is recommended for ages 18 months and up.

7. Wooden Train Track Set

I can't imagine life without our train track set! My boys have spent endless hours making track after track. Plus, there are so many fun add-ons you can purchase - bridges, garages, ramps, water towers, etc. I would highly recommend it for kiddos two or older.

8. Wooden Cutting & Cooking Pretend Play Set

Play cooking is such a good way to build your child's imagination and introduce them to role play. This set allows them to practices cutting with the velcro pieces which is really fun. It is recommended for ages 3 years and up but I gave my son a set when he was two and he loved it!
